Private surf lessons for beginners or intermediate surfers.
Between approximately March and November you will do the lessons between Kuta & Canggu. The location we choose will depend on where you are staying and where the best surf conditions are forecast to be for your lesson day. During December, January and February the winds are onshore on the west coast of Bali so you will probably need to travel about 20 minutes to the east coast (Nusa Dua area) to do your lesson.
Yes surf lesson times can be flexible however tide, wind and swell forecast will determine the best time for learning on any given day. You will be notified of the recommended time so that we can coordinate the best time for you and for learning to surf
We can take children as young as 6 years old. If you have more than one child under 10 years old, please let us know as we may need to get an additional instructor to assist for both safety reasons and to maximise the effectiveness of the lesson.
The first lessons in surfing will be in water not much deeper than waist depth, you will be attached to the surfboard with a leash (so you have a flotation device) and you will have an instructor assisting you. Therefore in the first lessons you do not need strong swimming skills, however as you progress and move out to deeper water, it is advisable to be a reasonable swimmer - sometimes leashes break and you need to be able to swim to shore.
